The director.

Meet Erin Bankston — animal whisperer, chicken wrangler, and proud Director of The Storybook Sanctuary in Acworth, GA. For over 30 years, she’s been rescuing, rehabilitating, and loving animals of all shapes and sizes (and personalities!). Erin believes every creature deserves a happily-ever-after, whether they have hooves, feathers, or fur.

When she’s not knee-deep in hay or negotiating with a stubborn goat, Erin is behind the camera capturing the magic of kids and critters alike. She’s also the captain of the dog bus — a magical ride where pups climb aboard for adventures, tails wagging and noses pressed to the windows ready to go on their field trip. Add in being a wife of 23 years, mom to three grown kids, and living proof that you really can build a life around compassion, chaos, and a whole lot of animal snuggles.

At the end of the day, Erin’s mission is simple: to give every animal the storybook life they deserve — with plenty of love, laughter, and maybe a few extra snacks.
